Support Packages

SIP offer a range of comprehensive packages to support your school through our Outreach Service some of which are funded by the LA as part of a Service Level Agreement. We will respond to referrals as appropriate, according to need. This may not lead to a full intervention package and may be limited to a consultation visit. Details of the range of packages are set out below including support for Secondary Schools. Please complete a referral.

Package A

Primary

TARGETED PUPIL INTERVENTION

Details of Package

Up to 6 visits
Initial assessment report.
Targets set and reviewed using TME.
Visit records for each session.
Review meeting and exit report.

Eligibility Criteria

Up to 2 funded referrals per year for primary schools, according to service capacity. Priority will be given to pupils in Year R with an EHC Plan or undergoing EHC assessment.
Additional referrals will be considered as follows:
- Schools in Category D (as defined by the Schools’ Monitoring Group), according to service capacity. (These referrals are confidential and should be sent via Anycomms directly to SIP Outreach Team).
- Pupils moving into Southampton from outside the city, according to service capacity.
- Pupils on a ‘managed move’, or supported through 'In year Fair Access' according to service capacity.

Package A

Secondary

FUNDED SECONDARY SUPPORT

Up to 6 visits
Initial assessment report.

Visit records for each session.
Review meeting and exit report.

Eligibility Criteria

Up to 2 funded referrals, one of which must be a Yr 7 pupil. The remaining referral will be a more condensed package for a pupil in any Year Group.
Available to all Secondary Schools.

Package B

CONSULTANCY PROBLEM SOLVING SUPPORT

Up to 4 consultancy visits
Consultancy report with recommendations.
Visit record for each session.
Review meeting and exit report.
Specific pupil targets are not set.

Eligibility Criteria

Also available to all schools at a charge.

Package C

PUPIL FOCUSED ACTION PLANNING

Up to 6 visits.
Individual session outcomes and focus set out within Action Plan.
Visit records for each session.
Visits include final evaluation session to review impact.

Package D

COHORT/YEAR GROUP INTERVENTION - for Primary Schools

Action plan with agreed session outline and outcomes.

May require 2 staff for some visits.

Eligibility Criteria

Available to all primary schools at a charge. Also available charged through cluster funding.
