Engagement Model Workshop

Overview

This session will be led by Rachel Martin, SIP Outreach Service Lead.  It is suitable for mainstream primary schools with an existing knowledge of the 5 areas of engagement and will give an opportunity to develop planning and ideas for targeted activities for a pupil working at Engagement Model Level in your school.

Course Details

This workshop has been designed to support schools with the next steps to take after creating an Engagement Profile. 

Delegates will support each other under the guidance and support of the Outreach Service Lead and Outreach HLTA to use an Engagement Profile to set targets and plan activities for a pupil based on their individual strengths and needs. 

​

Delegates must bring with them:

• an anonymised Engagement Profile of a pupil in their school (this can be in draft form but needs to be written in advance of the workshop).

• an anonymised EHCP outcomes section for the pupil if they have an EHCP in place (section E).

• any recent engagement observations that would be useful.

This course will be held at Springwell School community room.
